Certificates of Authenticity

Nowadays many Tinga Tinga paintings are copied and forged. Hundreds of fakes of original paintings by Edward Saidi Tingatinga flooded the market. The art works of Mitole, Mkura, Malikita, Charinda and many others were faked and are still at risk to become victims of forgeries.

Martina Tingatinga and TANART have taken steps to fight against the falsification of Tinga Tinga art works and issues 2 types of Certificates of Authenticity which are signed by Martina Tingatinga and Daniel Augusta who has a great deal of knowledge of Tinga Tinga art.
